you only need a 35 amp alt. unless your running a lot of lights or electrical you will need the right pulley and also the brackets off a 170 we have the brackets the pulley needs a spacer on it either 3/8s to 1/2 in thick Niel

I'm partial to the CS-130 series as they are smaller, more powerful and 'newer' that the big old clunkers on a lot of tractors. a quick zip of an airgun will pop off the pulleys on both genny and alt. With the proper bracket you should be able to use the original belt!
I do use an 'idiot' light on my D-14s. There's a 'spare' 1/2" hole, lower left of the inst. panel. Don't know what it's supposed to be fore but is real handy for the light !CS-130s are/were popular with late 90s GM cars.LOTS at wreckers just be sure to get the connector while you're there ! Jay |

10SI are what i have used as they were easily found and with a 50 to 70 A or above output run everything you need . Pulley from you generator will fit shaft but if you can find a small pulley from like a truck alternator to get a higher speed works good .
Easy to convert into 1 wire unit by jumping the output to the one terminal .
