I have a G that I bought that hadn't run since the 90's. Replaced points, cap, rotor, condenser, plugs and wires. New 12v coil as I am going to convert to 12v. Running off a fully charged 12v battery. No charging system. Gas tank is clean and I have good flow to the carb. Ran the gas from the tank through a white rag as a filter and no debris. Cleaned the carb. Spark to all plugs. It was running really well. Power washed it because I needed to do some brake work on it. Now it won't start or run. I took the carb off and cleaned it again and it ran. Now it sputters and coughs dirty grey smoke. It sputters for about 5 seconds and quits. The carb does need a new needle and seat because I don't think the float shuts off the gas. Float is fine. I did check the cap and rotor for moisture. Any help greatly appreciated. What am I missing?

Fred they came from Brillman's. Here is what I did today. I pulled the condenser and points. I had another set for a different tractor so I thought I would swap them out. Put in another condenser, looked at the old points and they really looked ok. Cleaned them up put them in. Fired right up. I am leaning towards a bad condenser. Hope this one works. Where is the best place to get ignition parts?

My guess is when you power washed it, you either have some moisture somewhere or you have damaged a wire with the power washer that is grounding out somewhere. I'm not much of a fan of WD-40, but it is the best thing I have found for drying the inside of a damp distributor.
