This may not be the right spot for this, but. I looked at a '53 Allis 'D' grader today with cab. It is complete and in good working condition. Might need a little front end work like tie rod ends.
Anybody have any idea as to the value of one of these?? He's asking $10,000 OBO. I thought it was a little high. |

Phil, it depends on a lot of different things. I'd say $5000 is closer to the mark but a restored early 'D' grader with the WD engine and no options sold at a collector sale a year ago for $8200. I looked at a 67 'D Special' with all the options, square frame, D-17 gas engine, power steering, tilt front wheels, power circle, hydraulic blade slide, deep reduction transmission, but had a broken drive axle on one side $8500. I'm using a friend's 'D special' for some yard grading this week. Great little machine! |

This one is unrestored, original condition. Rear rubber looks OK, but fronts are pretty tough. They are holding air, but barely! Scraper edge on the blade is worn and bolt holes are worn from running loose. I'm thinking about $5000 max.

i was thinking $6000.... but a lot depends on location, how far do you have to haul, and how bad do you want it ?
