Just wondering why the 3 point hitch system I see offered mount to the draw bar. I am undertaking making one that mounts on the final drives slightly in front of the center. Hopefully I can get a picture of the first of the mount posted. |

Probably cheaper and easier to build and mount for the average guy. AaronSEIA

I like your design better. Like a true 3pt tractor, it puts the mounting point under the axle.
I don't know what you're going to do for sway control (if anything), but I highly suggest getting a set of sway bars for a Ford tractor from the N through -01 series tractors and adapting the 3pt system to accept them. I know it's Ford, but this system can hardly be beaten. No parts to rust up, no turnbuckles to mess with, and it will always hold your implement rock solid. Makes it really nice for mowing, especially.

Creston, in the top pic there is a piece of flat bar tacked on, that is where the sway bar will attach, haven't decided what to use for sway bar.

Made one for my B.There is more to a three point hitch than meets the eye. That third link is a handful .You will find you can not put third link forward enough with bottom link that for forward .Mine works good with finish mower but never could get adjusted for a plow .Length of arm and position of pivot is what makes it work. You can see mine under customized B on this post. Wish you a lot of luck.
