Besides the oil cooler, any other ways to get oil in coolant. Just took head to head shop and they said all the injector cups were leaking and head had slight unevenness. Could those issues been the culprit? My oil cooler was pressure tested by reputable radiator shop and came back ok.

The last 301 engine I fixed (in a 180) that had motor oil (black motor oil) in the radiator was pushing motor oil/antifreeze out the radiator cap. It had a cracked block right in the main oil galley and got a used block to fix it. Your pix don't show me black motor oil. Was it pushing BLACK motor oil out the radiator cap ?? The last 7020 that I had SOME black motor oil in the coolant, also had coolant in the motor oil !! It had small holes in the sleeves and bad Orings on the sleeves. What did the inside of your valve cover look like?? shaving cream ??

Inside of valve cover looked great and no signs of “shaving cream.” I drained radiator to pull head off and noticed just a little bit of oil towards the end of radiator emptying out. So decided to pull oil cooler to see what it looked like which is when I found the oily coolant mix on the cooler. Wherever it was coming from was not a substantial amount it seemed.

I had coolant or diesel getting past injector cup dust seal. So I knew I had a cup/head issue. Tractor was also puffing white a little too much as well I thought so figured this was my issue. Machine shop said all cups were leaking. No abnormal cracks in head that were leaking. They magnafluxed and pressure tested head.
