    Posted: 27 Apr 2017 at 10:02am
Hi,

I am looking if a user manual ... specifically the lighting section for a 1951 WD series tractor. My dad has one and is trying to redo the wiring and electrical because the front light unit was removed form the tractor. Where is the best place to find a Manual or at least the eletrical info?

Thanks for any help,
William

Is he going to use the OEM lights? The OEM light switch? If so just bring the single wire from the lights into the electrical box and attach them to the screw on the light switch. The switch has a fuse already in it. If you're not using the OEM switch the manual won't do you much good anyway.

I guess the problem is that the battery keeps draining down, his understanding is that the light unit that should be on the front keeps the battery charged?

Does he have to get a new set of lights to make it work? Or could there be another reason why the battery keeps draining down

It's a more likely bad cutout, unless his light switch is partially shorted. He can always disconnect the switch from the battery circuit to find out.
