Ok, Thank you so much! Is the reservoir on the side of the machine that has the vent cap that has a screw on the middle of it where you put the transmission fluid or does it go in the dipstick hole? I guess what I’m asking is the transmission fluid used for
the hydraulic side of things too? |

Many folks use AW32 or ISO 32 hydraulic oil.

I downloaded a manual for mine. It says Type A. I do not know how it relates to modern oils

basically any good 10 wt (approx) oil... Years ago requiring DExtron or Type A or F was a way to guarantee a GOOD QUALITY THIN WEIGHT OIL.... without having engine oil addatives.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

So is Type A a Dexron? I’m only familiar with Type F for all those older cars and trucks as I only drove Mercury and Ford then.
