I'm getting ready to check/change the hydraulic oil in my 4660 and I opened the manuals to check where the drain and fill ports are and as with most things in the manuals the pictures are garbage. I'm curious if anyone has any pictures that are black and white copies of copies x 35 that can show me where to refill and drain the hydo oil, which I assume is also the same oil used for the transmission. But also I'm curious about the pto clutch. I can only engage and disengage the pto when the tractor isn't running and this is very annoying when I have an auger or brush hog.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

On my 4660 I pull the inspection/vent plate to refill my hydro oil. I know the manual states to drain from the bottom of the 4x4 but I drain from that and all 3 drain plugs at the bottom of the rear end. About mid-way at the rear, on the right hand side, is a hex plug that’s for the fill check.

As far as the pto, you have two like handles, the right is your parking brake and the left is your pto clutch. Pull that up and engage your pto, then let the lever back down. It’ll grind a bit if you’re up in the rpm range but it’ll go.

There is a oil level check plug on the right hand side of the rear housing around the corner from the PTO - not handy but just the way they were.
