Would like an asking price on this AC Gleaner L2 w/6R-30" cornhead with gear drive.  Serial # LKS13296.  It has been in shed for a few years.  It runs well and seems to be o.k.  I also have 3 other Gleaner combines that are for salvage if interested and I can get more info on them.

Corn head maybe $100 tops. Combine is a 1977 gear drive with a 301 engine, no chopper, no straw spreader, no hillside blower, probably an A/C that doesn't work. At any auction in my area, it probably wouldn't bring $2,000.

Dr. Allis gave good advice. Are you settling an estate? What part of Iowa are you in? I saw your post about your "G" tractor. G's were not very popular in Iowa as they were intended for use with high value crops like tobacco or strawberries. They were popular in the southern states. (They were manufactured in Gadsden, Alabama.) There were 2 in the neighborhood where I grew up (south central IL.) Both working strawberries and other vegetables. They are ideal for small, high value crops. G's are easy to transport. If you are able, consider putting new tires on the G and taking it to the GOTO in Nebraska in September. Should be interested buyers there. Or advertise in Old Allis News or The Allis Connection. The Allis Connection is having our annual Father's Day show at the Middle Amana Community Park. Your G might sell there. I happen to know the guy (me) who puts together the newsletter for The Allis Connection. I would be happy to talk to you about placing an ad in our newsletter. Feel free to contact me at 217-710-8056 or by e-mail at dhauter45@gmail.com. Dan.

Yes, I am settling an estate.  I thought I would try Allis Chalmers FB sites and Marketplace 1st.  Thank you for the other options and will let you know if I go that route also.

Well Mr. smart a7S, what's the "solution" to posting pics right-side up ?? I've posted several pics on here that were in the correct orientation before I hit "SUBMIT", but ended up upside down Ouch. Is it a forum issue, a computer issue or a server issue ??

If you’re viewing the forum from an iPhone and you’ve chosen the forum’s “mobile” view, then FairLady’s gleaner L2 photo’s are rightside up & properly adjusted to fit your phone’s screen.

If you’re using the same iPhone but have chosen the forum’s “classic” view, then all the photos are rightside up, but they’re wider than your screen. So you gotta scroll right to see entire photo.

If I’m viewing the forum from my Mac laptop, the same photos are all upside down & depending on photo size, may need to scroll right to view entire photo.
