The serial # is on the right side of the tranny and from there you can get the year. I think one just sold in MN in running condition for $2500 so if you get it running somewhere around there maybe. Hope the steering clutches are not stuck from sitting.

It is a Model M, I've got one, paid $750 for it 2 years ago. mine turns but I haven't made it run yet. (cracked manifolds)
Supposed to be a pretty good tractor, mine had new sprockets and chains, swamp pads on it. That's a later one by the manifolds it has on it. |

To directly answer you're question,it is worth at least $500. Good tracks and running it's worth probably $1500. Not being rude at all but most of this stuff was running "a few years ago" but then when you get to talking to the people about when that was exactly then its been more than a "few" lol "Ran when parked" is my favorite...all that means is that it ran, everything on the machine might be worn out, but 40 years ago it ran. That one looks like a nice machine and the manifolds are the later style and are available though they aren't cheap, its about $850 for the set. (not all tractors have bad manifolds though) I'd trade you a M1 Garand rifle for it.... Edited by LoggerLee - 16 Mar 2012 at 2:58pm |
