The Operator's Manual says "knives may be sharpened". Mine have some chips on them so I removed them to sharpen them. The knife on the ram has plenty of extra material that I can work with in order to remove the chips. The stationary knife which is reversible, when new, only protrudes past the back wall of the feed chamber 1/8" at most. I'm reasoning that the stationary knife at its worst could only be ground down to where it is flush with the rear wall of the feed chamber. Is this correct? Would appreciate some experienced input on this.
