   I bought an old junk 175 to play with, needs the engine changed.
 Can I pull the engine without removing the side frames and front end ??? It looks that it could work. Something is wrong with this engine. Richard | |

   See if you can get a new Perkins block and put in it. Since CAT owns Perkins now paint the engine CAT yellow then you would have a CAT powered 175. As for an answer to your question I do believe you can but I'm an electrician not a mechanic.
