i looked at the 912 today and i noticed these things:
missing gas tank, frozen levers, rotted steering wheel (turns freely on shaft), no very bad rust      it looks pretty good besides some missing pieces.     im going to take off the engine and bring it home to work on it. if it run, then ill work on the tractor.    but here is my question     what should i do about the missing gas tank, frozen levers and petal ect    photos below

ON THIS PICTURE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THE HOLE WHERE THE GEARSHIFT WOULD BE NA 212 SHOULD BE THERE

There's no gear shift on a hydro. Just the same frame with different decals that cover that part of frame. The bigger lever on right is the hydro lever. Which is what moves tractor. Get yourself a bunch of penetrating oil and soak all your moving parts while you work on motor. I should have a salvaged gas tank for it.

That hole is where the shuttle transmission gear shift comes through. 
I have a 712 tractor with the shuttle shift and it gets right along in 4th gear! Wink
