Anyone know of a scrap yard that would have a bottom left hand door glass?
NLA from Allis Chalmers.

If you have any pictures of the glass in the vinyl around it post them, I install commercial glass and some residential. Auto glass can be a whole different animal so to speak but I may be able to point you in the right direction. I made up some glass for a buddies old pick up that had plate glass instead of safety glass. It has safety glass now.

Glass is held in place with black urethane, exact same stuff as cars have used for 30 or more years. Installation is easy. Buy the urethane at Auto Zone in a caulking gun tube. Removal and cleanup of the old glass takes time.

Put some painters tape around glass on orange before removing to help keep it from scratching paint.

My local auto glass shop gets slightly irritated if I try to remove glued in glass my self…
Can’t remember if they have a heat gun to melt the glue or if it is a special light (the name isn’t coming to me lol). Glass isn’t cheap though, it figures around here at $35 per sq foot and that’s just the plain glass. What did you do to end up that way? Get mad and kick it? Lol ![]() |

Local shop, Bacon and Van Buskirk took the pattern i made and ordered a piece from there supplier. If it was a square or rectangle it would be around $90.
Will be a little more since it has a curve in it. Hope its not much more. Should be in next week.

Are you going to pull the door off so you can lay it down and do it? |

I watched a windshield install on a newer John Deere on You Tube. So it can be installed with the door on the tractor

Definitely let it on the tractor, put a bead of urethane all the way around the mating surface then set the window up there with some pressure pushing it to seat well. Take painters tape and tape from window to frame to keep the window from sliding down or out of place. Urethane is tough stuff once it’s set up.
