Allis built 8000 series tractors with open cab rops, looked like a cab tractor with the windows and doors missing.  Also didn't someone here have a 7000 with an 8000 cab or an 8000 with 7000 sheet metal?

Didn't AC also send lots of combines and tractors to Mexico without cabs?

Saw several 8070 fwa  at Dewitt auction in Sikeston Mo. back in the late 80's. Just as Claus described. I've never seen one since.

Here is the only pic I have of one. A friend of mine took it at Mayer's in Ohio. I have a copy of an old allis 8000 seires video that shows a bunch of open station 8000's in florida sugar cane.

By that time ROPS was probably required by the government.

The 8000 series is one of the best looking tractors ever in my opinion.

I wonder if anyone ever took an open station version and added glass & doors & turned it into a cab?? Just curious if that was possible or more headache than it was worth?

I doubt AGCO has everthing needed, and if they did I'll bet it would be cheaper to trade tractors. To get the parts you'd need a complete cab or possibly a couple damaged ones. That would be hard to find and probably cost an arm and a leg too.

Got some neighbors with an 8050 with a lot of hard hours that did the opposite. When the air and heat quit they took out the doors and glass except the windshield and made an open station.
