So i have one side leaking after changing the belly filters. One of the new AGCO filters came with one small O ring that matched what was in the grooves and the other filter came with two O rings that looked to me to be too big to make fit so I reused my small O rings. Part # 70261931 is in the book.
Will those large O rings fit? Edited by whatscooking - 31 Aug 2026 at 6:06pm |

Small/thin O rings on 7000 series and fat/thick Orings on 8000 series. I seldom change the Orings and reuse the old. Always run a bead of oil resist RTV around the covers ledge and have everything clean when reassembling.

Thank you, I have read there is a check valve somehow somewhere that allows pulling the filter without draining the whole differential, is that possible? Is that normal for AGCO to flub up the O rings when you buy new filters? So should order 70261931 seperatly?
I watched the Freedom Farms viedo where he changed out all the filters on a 7060. He had one of the skinny O rings he used on the outer lip. Edited by whatscooking - 01 Sep 2026 at 3:53am |

Get a clean 5 gallon pail under where your leak is. If the trap-door is working correctly, when you remove the left hand filter cover it will shut as you remove the leaking cover. You will get 2 gallons of oil to dump back in the rear end fill tube. The right hand filter is similar for oil loss quantity if its the one that is leaking.

Working on it now, drained it,afraid of massive mess if ck valve inop.
O ring has bo bo. Going to use the O rings out of the NAPA filters that I got with the tractor, NAPA had the right O rings. Using plywood to scoot and slide buckets on, beats gravel. Is there axcess to the top of the transmission aera under cab floor or seat? Looks to be oil comming from above. Edited by whatscooking - 01 Sep 2026 at 7:48am |

Cab floor pad came right out then a few bolts and metal plare out. Steel line direct on top of transmission rear dripping. Loosened both ends when I took the cab side fitting real loose the lift arms fell, good spray of oil. Went to local former Massey dealer for O ring, didnt look bad. $2.00 later for a O ring and two gold snap pins for the battery tray. Tightened her down then used my Simple Green/ dawn dish soap and garden hose ran it and parked clean and dry, good day.
