Black belly 7020 Powershift. Good friend of mine bought it in the spring cheap due to a trans issue. We brought it home, did a full service following the book, and i found the cable end on the side of the trans was shot and needed replaced. Also replaced the park cable as it was broke. Trans worked great, albeit its always been tricky to get it into gears 1-3, feels like it has to be in between the detents for it to grab the gear.

Fast forward 100+ hours of tillage and hay and its currently dead. His dad was mowing one day and realized it would only shift 4-6, high/low ranges were still alright. But the gear shifter would not go down past 4. I tightened up a linkage nut on the side of the console and got it down to 2/3 but it feels like its hitting something solid and wont go any lower. I popped the cable off the side of the trans and verified the cable is good. But after i did that we lost high and low, it will only go into park.

Any ideas where to start? Im planning on pulling the floor plate to look at the high/low cable, but the power shift has me worried.

With the engine off, swing out the batteries and disconnect the cable from the arm on the valve body. You should be able to shift that little arm by hand through each gear and feel the detent in each one. You may need to use vice grips or channel lock pliers to do this. If you can't feel each gear ,then the valve body will need to come off and gone through.

Two separate problems. Sounds like the Power Shift valve has (and has had) a problem with the detent mechanism inside. Pull right fuel tank and remove the valve to repair. You should easily be able to shift the Power Shift lever from R-N-!-2-3-4-5-6 once the batteries are swung out and cable disconnected. If you can't, the issues is in the valve. Range/Park lever must be a cable issue.
