I had been baling most of the day and I had just ejected a bale and had just started making another when I heard a "bang" and then I lost all steering, remotes, pto, and drive.  The engine was still running.  I believe that the shaft going into the pump might have snapped in two.

Has anyone else had something similar happen or another possibility before I dive into it?

Thanks

I haven't ever seen it, but you have no choice. Remove the pump and see what happened. Maybe the nut backed off on the drive gear causing more strain on the pumps shaft??

It is strange but the only thing that I can think of that could cause a whole system shutdown like that.

Could have striped splines in drive gear. MACK
