I have a AC 5040 that needs a new hydraulic pump. The pump is rated for 5.75 gpm I would like to upsize the pump for better wood splitting. The pump can do it but I would like more power and speed. Can it be done? If it can how big can I go? Most of the splitters I am looking at 6 gpm is at the very low end.
