i need to replace the front main seal on my mother's 41 c.  its been a while since i had one of these apart and i'm having a senior moment.  does the crank have the grooves cut into it? do i need a speedi-sleeve to do this right or just a new seal?  thanks  alan

Crank does have spiral grooves for oil retention. Rarely need speedi sleeve, seal should do it. Make sure the timing cover hole is well centered around the crank or the new seal will also leak.  Bill
