Wonder how much a 40 AC combine would be worth. I have found one in a barn and it's in decent shape. If I buy it will be for sale. Anyone interested?

If it were able to come to Ia reasonably, I'd be interested if the price were right.

Yes, I would be interested. I saw one near me about 6 years ago for $600 but the thing had set outside and the hopper and who knows what else was rusted out. Kinda wish I would have gone after it but didn't have the shed space.

Well I traded for this machine. It has been in a barn all it's life and is in pretty good shape considering it hasn't been used for a lot of years. It still has a decent canvas on it and you can still read all the decals fairly well. It has enough paint on it to tell it used to be orange. It has the sacker instead of the bin and the wooden paddles are in good shape. I couldn't buy it straight out because he wanted me to paint the C Farmall that his uncle used to pull it with. So we traded on a paint job and I get the combine as part of the deal. I think I am going to get it back in working shape and maybe use it a little and then it will probably be for sale. That will be a year or two down the road. I will post some pics when I get it home and I will probably wait til I get his tractor painted to go get it. It's in a real good building right now and I don't have the time to work it now anyway. JP
