I have a 35 picker for sale, it needs some work but i think all of the pieces are there to make it work. the tires in the picture are not included, it will come with the correct allis wheels with flat tires. Make me an offer. 608-235-3015

Is that the picker that husked as well as shucked the ear off the stalk at the same time? (no husking bed). Looks like a far less complicated machine compared to a NI.
How well did they pick, and especially, husk? Would love to have that...buyt no vacation time to retreive...Bummer!

yes it does have husking rolls, they double as the snapping rolls. It is a very simple machine! I tied my other 35 picker out last weekend and it did a pretty good job of husking, not as good as a new idea, but it did good considering it wasn't made to pick 200 bushel corn, and it would probably do better with new husking pegs.

We have one and we finally got to try it out this yr.What a great ,simple little machine.ours did a great job and has far less to go wrong with it than the old new ideas. My neigbor want to use it because he is getting so much demand for cob corn these days and know one has it anymore.A few of the old number 7 NI have been sold for 15 and 16 hundred around the area and they needed work just to get them going. But they are getting harder to find after the spike in steel last year.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Looks like it's still in pretty straight shape.

This may be a stupid question but having never ran a corn picker how do you plant your corn to make effecient use of that picker?

You can plant your field like normal and knock down some when you start out or you can leave room to start without driving on any. When I grew up we had a neighbor whom sometims dad would have come over with his wd and his two row mounted picker and open up the field for us an sometimes dad had us open the field by hand shucking.

How about trading for a small wheel trailing mower with the twin disc drive?
