I have a d17 diesel rolling chassis I want to build for pulling. Bought it as a roller with plans to build a v8 tractor but I want to keep it allis. I have a 265 gas engine out of a 190 sitting here and I was wondering if they will bolt in? Anybody ever swapped one into a d17? Thanks

Engine is too long, so side frames and hoods have to be lengthened. Steering is an issue as the engine is too wide to allow the power steering ram and steering control shaft to properly fit. Front engine plate it too wide, so it has to be narrowed. Other than that, it can be shoved in there.

You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul
