Was the gas engine in a D19 and the engine in a Gleaner F essentially the same engine other then the governor?   I've seen numerous people mention to use the Zenith carb off of the combine engine for pulling.   What's the difference between that engine and the one in the D19.   I picked up a Gleaner F engine this summer complete, and was wondering if the hp of that engine is more then my stock D19, and if I would be better off swapping the entire engines out.   Right now I know the head on my D19 engine needs some work, and I was thinking of pulling the head off that one and swapping them, but maybe I should switch out the entire engines.

I would say essentially the same but not an expert. The combine engine will have a higher advertised HP because they are flwheel rated and tracors are pto rated. HTH Obviously the govs are different.

I think the Gleaner C had the 262 engine in it.
