Working on a 200 with hydraulic pto. I have 320psi testing on the back of valve. With the valve spool set 1.5". I have 130psi on the clutch side and 320psi on the brake when engaged. I adjust the linkage to 300psi on clutch side then the brake side is 120psi. I had gauges tee into lines then plumbed directly off valve eliminating the pto all together and pressure remains the same. I replaced the springs on valve spool and spool moves freely in body. Linkage is all tight. Should the psi be the same on both clutch and brake? I adjusted to 220psi on clutch and brake but brake wont stop shaft until its around 250psi.

You have posted in the tractor pulling section. Yes, I would expect the same pressures on both sides or you will fry the clutch or the brake or both. I'm guessing you have the 540/1000 RPM PTO ?? Sounds like a linkage problem to me, but I'm not there looking at it. What you're saying is if you force the valve spool 100% each way you then have 300 psi on both clutch and brake, correct ?? That's what you need.

Yes it has 540 and 1000. If you push on the detent it will get the pressure, or from bottom by valve can push or pull to get the pressure. it dont take much more movement to get the pressure. Sorry in the wrong topic my mistake.
