I’m putting together a 260ci engine right now, ported, polished, C5 performance manifold/header, Blackburn cam, now it comes down to a carb choice. I have a bendix off a 190, and a Holley off a 190. Opinions on which carb would be better choice? I’ve heard the Holley is great when it’s working proper.

Bendix from a 190XT G-2800 engine, not a 190 G-2500 engine.

I was using the term 190 pretty much as an umbrella for the 190 & 190XT. If there are differences in the carbs (positive there is) I’m all ears.

I am running a Holley on a CA. It is easier to tune as it uses the same jets as all other Holley carburetors. Although the drawback is that very few parts are available for them. About all you can find are gaskets and floats, unless you come across NOS parts.
I have a very large NOS Bendix/Zenith available. Edited by PaulB - 13 Nov 2020 at 7:02am |

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

A G-2800 carb is more air flow and jetted to match.

Are you making a custom adapter for the manifold? Or will it bolt up?

The header is going to be tailor made to the carb
