Is the flywheel gear on a 185 reversible, doesn't look to be any difference in front or back of the teeth. Have a bit of wear in one spot, good time to fix while I have it split.

generally the engagement side has chamfered teeth and the other does not. If it's champhered on both sides do it.

They usually wear in 3 spots. You can heat it up and rotate it to a spot that is not worn down. IF not, put a new one on and you will never have to touch it again. Most flywheels on ACs are one way - chamfered on one side only.
