I started rebuilding the head on my WD45 about a year ago and since then mixed up where the two different valve retainers go. One is thicker than the other and I cannot find anywhere on the internet as to whether it goes with the exhaust or the intake valves.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks!
Zach

Welcome to the forum. The thicker ones are for the exhaust on that tractor. They are a two piece design that will help the valve to rotate as it is going up and down. The intakes are just a one piece .
