With the forum search feature not working well or at all, and having read several posts about trying to find info, I thought I would post a little how to. Maby it could be thrown into the Knowledge base for permanent reading?
This is not original knowledge from me, just rehashing for those who can use it. using your browser search bar, it should read like this Searched topic site:www.allischalmers.com I am not 100% sure this works on all browsers, but works well on google, which, in my opinion is the best search engine. happy hunting Edited by CAL(KS) - 30 Dec 2015 at 9:00am |

Joel, I hope this helps too....
Creating a Custom Search EngineThe easiest way to get started with Google Custom Search is to create a basic search engine using the Control Panel. You can then download the engine's XML files and modify them to add futher customizations. Since you're experimenting and figuring out some basic concepts, spend only a couple of minutes making your first search engine. Keep it simple so that you can follow what's happening when you start testing it. You can always change it later.Defining a Custom Search Engine in Control PanelTo create a custom search engine:
Your basic search engine is ready to use! To see more configuration options, go to the Control Panel. Control Panel also has a preview window that allows you to test and fine-tune your search results. To learn more about options available in Control Panel, visit the Custom Search Help Center. |
