I have a HD344 crankshaft that I pulled from my HD6G. It spun #4 rod bearing. I got a quote for reconditioning it at $300. It costs about $100 to ship it. Note that there are surplus 7000 motors on eBay. The AC 7000 motor is the generation after the HD344 with a turbocharger. If you can afford the shipping, the 7000 motor is the better investment. If you are interested in my crank send a PM

Dozer :thanks for the help! I Pm ed you on the crank..Is the 7000 motor the same block? Will it bolt directly up and fit in the frame rails on the machine? what are the differences? Thanks for the assistance!

The HD344 AC 6000 and AC 7000 motor are the same motor. The 6000 & 7000 motor have a different cylinder head, pistons and connecting rods than the HD344. They are interchangable so long as all the items are replaced. The 7000 motor is the turbocharged version of the 6000 motor. The newer motors drive the waterpump and generator from the injector pump rather than the crankshaft. There are many other changes but the newer motors will bolt up where an HD344 was.
