| Does the 301s have a problem with the valves breaking the lips on the edge off? When I bought this tractor 2 cylinders had broken valves. Rebuilt the engine , new sleeves pistons , had the head done , new valves in those holes. Around 150 hrs had a valve go bad. Shop put the intake and exhaust in the wrong holes, had that fixed. Saturday night started skipping . Pulled head today #5 intake half of the lip gone #4 intake cracked . Not sure the hrs since last repair. Going to have all new valves put in this time. Tiered of doing this. THanks for any input. |

| Are your injectors bad? Bad injectors can cause combustion chamber problems. |

Our 7000 lost one once. I don’t remember it doing the damage loosing one on the 8050 did. At one point it was worked fairly hard so somewhat understandable. ------------- 8030 and 8050MFWD, 7580, 3 6080's, 160, 7060, 175, heirloom D17, Deere 8760 |

as mentioned above, injectors faulty or installed wrong if Ambac or Bosch injectors, or inj pump timing can be off a long way. | Thanks for the info . Will check all of that. Doesn't smoke. Did have some turbo trouble a while back but put a new one on . |
