My 7060 is semi retired and is generally used as a loader tractor. This spring I used it on a 21' disc to fill in ruts from last fall. It was a 490 IH disc in about 40 acres of stalks and I just let go in as far as it could and the old girl just walked the dog.
After that I used it for odd jobs running 3 or 4 miles between farms and everything was normal.

I wanted to mow the roads before Memorial Day weekend so I hooked it up the batwing and started mowing, I had been mowing about 5 hrs. and was almost back home when the tractor stopped moving. The hydraulics still worked fine, I got it to the barnyard with a little luck. I put 3 gallons in the transmission and brought it up to the full mark on the dipstick. I couldn't find any leaks.

So a few days ago I had to mow around a tile inlet so I checked the levels and went and did that. it took about and hour and it was still  working fine.

Today I checked and it took 4 gallons to bring it up to full so I removed the upper site glass and let 6 to 8 gallons out before it started to slow down. So where is likely transferring oil from.

Most likely place is seal in gear pump. Some times bushing welds to shaft and goes through seal. Next place is seal on shaft that drives pumps. Easy to change while pumps are out.    MACK
