my dad a picture of him and my oldest brother taken on one like this .he said it was his first bulldozer .he said it got leaves up in the belly pan and along with the oil drips it caught fire in the woods and burned up he said that was a good day gave him an excuse to go buy a hd9

I saw one with a air starter on it at a farm auction it sounded like a air wrench when it started .it had a compressor mounted to the front of the engine and if it was a cold start I guess you hooked a portable compressor to the air tank like the old macks had

A lot of Detroit powered road tractors had air starters back years ago.  Worked good in the winter if you had a good air supply, would really spin them up!
