Seems the overall cost of a EV is out of whack with reality

Keep being told EV Electricity usage is 1/2-2/3 the expense of buying gasoline.  So asked to see the KWH usage by a owner here in town, his is metered Separately.  Drives the car three to four days a week, small trips, equivalent to a IC auto just puttering around town to stores and local venues.  His electrical bill for ONE Month of similar use $175, cannot EVER remember using over $90 of Gas in a month.  Here is a little known factoid, Teslas have OIL Change Intervals on the Electric Motor Gear Train and Motor Cooling system, even has TWO OIL filters one for Each Motor.  Services are recommended twice Annually, Spring/Fall, NO Mileage figure.

Tires are SPECIAL, offered ONLY by Tesla Shops, due to Weight of auto and stress of Electric Motor torque both accelerating and dynamic braking.

And your EV is costing US! $7500 for each and every one sold is stolen from US taxpayers, in the form of EV buyer subsidies...Thumbs Down

And That is the Secondary 12v battery mounted in the Front Trunk or Frunk. The electrical subsystems as Radio, door locks, interior lighting, windows and heater blower run off it.   And yes can become locked INSIDE in a emergency situation.

Something else-one of our large tow companies in the KC Metro area ordered a supply of Tesla wheels/tires so they have one on each of their trucks.  Telsa dealers are the only ones who can do Tesla tire work.  So, they can mount a new wheel/tire on the disabled vehicle.   Have no idea how the cost is determined.  Also, because of weight, etc. tire wear is only a fraction of tire wear on a non EV.  The downside is multiplying.
