I have a 8050 PD that runs flawless however the transmission is acting up. It will not move in reverse, has a horrible grinding noise when range lever is in park or neutral. Also when shifting the tractor will not go into gears 2-5 without putting the range lever in neutral. The trash pressure light stayed on the whole time the tractor was running. I only ran the tractor for 5 minutes. Where should I start? Thanks

Previous owner said it worked great until the hired help got it stuck while disking. The tractor was then driven to the edge of the field and parked.

Sounds like getting it stuck and ramming it back and forth has destroyed something. Remove floor of cab and shift cover to see what the damage is.

That's a big 10-4. You guys are rewriting the book on destroying machines that I thought were nearly indestructible. Ring gear busted on a 7045 and now reverse gear failure on an 8050. This is another very odd failure. Sorry for your bad luck and another pretty big job to tackle. Used parts shouldn't be a problem with such a rare problem.

Doing some digging on agco parts books. The gears do interchange between a 7060 and 8050 PD transmission
