Just hang in there and take care of her as best you can. A good bandage and splint where the dew claw was removed might help some but it needs fresh air to heal. Take her out on a leash and hold an umbrella over her if it is raining. Being a springer she probably loves the rain. Maybe the drugs were for you. LOL
Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God.

Time for a new pup. LOL Not much else you can do beyond tying her up to the point she can't get to the paw, and making her use the bathroom inside the house.   Well, at least it was free ideas.

On Friday, we had our 6 month old Springer Spaniel to the vet. 1 was to spay her, 2 was to chip her, 3 was to remove a botched up dewclaw that the breeder screwed up, removed, that was a major issue/problem.  So fast forward, how do you keep a 6 month old, pup, from jumping, running, walking, getting wet with the rain, licking the wounds,(and yes she has a bell on her head)?  Drugs are good for some issues, and working, BUT not to the fullest!  We called the vet, doubled the does, as per her, and still not enough!  LOL  I need some sleep!  LOL  just needed to vent!!!  THANKS!!!
