That serial # on the tag does it have the number 8 at the end or is it a capital B ? From the appearance of that tag is the machine made in Great Britain ? I believe the serial number book I have covers only American made machines.

I lived in Sweden when these machines first came out in the mid sixties. I got to spend a day with an entrepreneur there when he got to have a 645 as a demo... everyone was so impressed with the performance. Once the loader was returned to the dealer he decided to buy the 545 model. Now 50 years later my cousin owns that same machine and has rebuilt the engine, brakes etc among other things, he makes good use of it all year round. I was under the impression that the first ones came from the US but I could be wrong. I will ask him what the sticker says on his machine next time I talk to him. I know they built the earlier TL series straight frame loaders in Great Britain. They came with A.E.C. diesel engines from the factory instead of Allis Chalmers own, otherwise they were identical.
