    Posted: 25 Jan 2017 at 12:11pm
I bought an AC 5015 several years ago. Had some problems but it is working for me. I was using the front end loader primarily to fill in with wood chips. Lately, I've been getting some loads of dirt. The dirt is a lot heavier (of course), and I have had to leave the back-hoe on for ballast. But the tractor is a lot less maneuverable with a big back hoe hanging off the back. This was my first tractor and didn't know what I should be checking. When I started looking around for another 3pt attachment, I noticed something wierd. As it turns out, the back-hoe is mounted on a steel bracket. It seems that the back-hoe (a Kelley B10) was too heavy (my guess). Now, it seems like the 3pt. hitch is not working. What are the starting points for diagnosing what is actually wrong to get it working. At this point, my primary interest is getting some ballast weight on the back so that I can drop the back-hoe, add some weight and move some dirt. Thanks for any help.

I would check to see if you have a filter or screen in line . I believe my 6080 had a screen and it got clogged and would not let oil thru. Just my $.02

Thanks, I'll trace the hydraulic lines and see if there is a screen or filter.

The hydraulic filter is inside the left rear wheel in front of the axle, on the side of the transmission.  I just found the filter
on mine  as I had to swap the rockshaft casting due to a crack running the length of piston.  Finally got around to fixing that.

If the 3pt. hitch hasn't been used for years it could have stuck valve in control valve. Is loader ran off tractor pump? If so and it works then problem is in control valve or internal cylinder, piston rings -orings could be blow out. See if you have oil going to rear valve. And another thing is sometimes when a loader is installed they may have installed a diverter valve that you have to change for 3pt. hitch to work.
