So we got the B1 home and we tested out the mower deck. The belt doesn't seem to stay on. I will be the first to admit, I don't know a thing about this tractor so I al trying to educate myself as I go. It seems like everything is original so I don't have any added/modified parts. The blade pulley seems to be lined up higher that the drive pulley so then it pops off. Are their guards that are suppose to be on there? Is there a belt diagram of the mower deck/tractor? Thanks for any help.

Does your deck have the covers on it that cover the deck belt? The 2 belt guides for the main drive pulley actually bolt to the covers-1 on each cover so that when the covers are installed the belt guides are in place to hold the belt from coming off the drive pulley. Dad was also adamant that the deck should never be engaged in the raised position as well though I don't know if that is your problem either.

Pictures would help tremendously, so we can see your setup, and what might be 'off'.

Thanks for your responses. I will post some pictures when I get home. My dad discovered a bearing missing so that might be the entire problem there.
