You have to get one end started and pry it over the edge as you work it around. It will distort some as you go but be fine once in place.its up to you to figure out how to pry and where to pry. It will be a frustrating learning experience but it's possible.

Never seen a WD without a hand clutch. You sure it's not a WC?

If the rest of the clutch is okay, replacing the ring should make good to go. I'm pretty sure you can get it back in place in the tractor. I think it has to be snapped in not released but I'm not sure.

A used one is fine. The WD should have the same ring on the hand clutch.

That is the snap ring that holds clutch together. It's bent . Should be a perfect circle. Your clutch cannot function properly . There was no "snap" in the clutch like that. You were asked about the "snap".

From the hand clutch itself. That keeps the pressure plate contained which allows for a NEUTRAL/ disengaged position of the clutch plates/discs. That one is junk. I doubt that a new one can be had from AGCO. If you found a good used one you might be able to worm in into place in-chassis when the hand clutch fully engaged exposing the groove that wire fits into.

I had one of my 45's that I had to push HARD on the brakes and push/pull on the hand clutch to allow it to work.  After sitting so long, they tend to stay 'stuck' together.
DO NOT ruing your brakes doing this, as that is another story!!
But keep trying it and push/pull the hand clutch while the brakes are jammed.

Worst scenario is IF the clutch is 'welded' together, you can try GENTLY to get the plates apart after you have taken the batt. box and the cover off.  Use a putty knife to try and get it between the clutch faces.

Good luck!

Tome to pull the cover under the bsttery box. The clutch could ave been run a lot with no oil and be ruined the disks could be wore out and jaming it some one could have welded the clutch that was sliping. Once you het the cover off push the hand clutch lever foward stick a feeler guage in it in the released position the sbsoluted minium as around .035" should be closer tp .060"

That didn't work
I pushed the foot clutch and the brakes in and had the hand clutch forward.
Then I shifted into 3rd and let of the foot clutch with my feet on the breaks and the hand clutch forward and the tractor took off and didn't stop
