I restored a wd45 a few years ago and got a temporary shed from Harbor Freight that was 9ft by 20ft and put it up inside my shop, I was able to paint inside the HF shed without any overspray anywhere other than the floor and when done painting for the day close the curtain to keep dirt out and still able to work in shop on other parts to get ready for the next day of painting. When I finished the tractor I disassembled the HF shed and put the small parts and canvas in a tote and tied the poles together for the next time. To make it easier to put together my daughter and I used duct tape on all pipe joints to hold them together and hung 2 4ft led lights on the sides. Also strung chains from 1 side to the other to hang small parts on to paint. Might add we didn't have room for the whole length so we left out 1 section of pipes and folded the extra length of canvas under to get it out of the way.

Allis folks,
Mini steps on the CA. Cleaned up the radiator a little and painted this side with matt black. Chased the threads on the mounting studs. Found the CA gas cap and realized it would be about the right look and fit to go on the 32 Ford truck radiator as a traveling cap, while the real 32 rad cap rests safely. Regards, Chris and Cheryl

Guys,
Thanks! Our new "lil red" (as in, little red riding hood) should be a nice alternative to the 32 Ford truck this summer. Worked on it most of the afternoon, like a kid with a new toy. Changed plugs, bought new tires, worked on tidying up the trunk. Yea the heated shop is the ticket when the temps are in single digits! Regards, Chris and Cheryl |

Since people are throwing them out all the time now, it's easy to get a bunch of drawers for nothing. Just takes some good wood and a little skill. Have a great upcoming year and enjoy the ride(s). How do you decide which one you're going to go with?

Ted,
Interesting way to repurpose the refrigerator drawers! Not sure how we will pick what to drive?:) I fired up the D14 and plowed the drive today. We have about a foot of new snow. Regards, Chris and Cheryl

Folks,
Was rearranging toys in the shop today for our maple event this weekend. Packed the 32 and the Comet in next to the pile of Allis CA parts. Next year 2025 our local tractor club is featuring Allis tractors and equipment. Sure would be nice to have most of my tractors there. Will the CA make it? Not sure but could be a good reason to get working on it! Regards, Chris and Cheryl

The "Pioneer Steam and Gas Engine Society", ln North West PA. Near Sagertown. Just off I-79 and rt 198. The Allis featured show will be in mid to late July 2025. Great grounds, lots of room for camping. Yea I do need to get the clutch and pressure plate pulled off the CA engine. and get it on the engine stand for clean up and evaluation soon! Thanks for the gentle kick! Regards, Chris and Cheryl |
