Hello ..glad to be here ... i just became responsible for the BEAST and finally got an up close look at this thing.
my god ...S P A R S E is the word of the day here. oh ... might be helpful if I mentioned that it's an Allice Chal H-9 Bulldozer. Big front blade enclosed and roomy cab. If any of you all have ever operated a rough terrain crane or a 12.5 ton crawler crane ....well you know how busy the controls are and then you look inside this thing and it's ....well ..contrary. Has not run for two years or more. Oil on dipstick was appalling with grit. It was pouring down rain and after forcing the cab door open I stepped inside. The cab is huge. hey ..where is the steering wheel drink holder and tissue dispenser? I decided to have a look at the batteries which I thought would be under the seat. I could not move the seat at all in any direction. i was done ....I hopped on out and another brief walk around to give the fuel cap another go ...nope stuck closed. No one has touched this thing in years. It must have a couple of 4d batteries somewhere in that superstructure oh well. Off across the pasture to look at a little travel trailer in the middle of a field. It has not moved from it's spot since 1973 |

That sounds like a fun project. What's the man's intentions for this beast when you get it running. ...? Sell it. .? Play with it. .? There is a construction equipment section to this forum as well. You might get some construction equipment people's responses by posting over there as well. Good luck with this project, and glad you decided to share the story on here. Darrel
