you can try... Cast iron does not weld good to start with... when its 70 years old you have a lot of carbon and not much iron left.... I have repair the front or rear EARS on a couple with some luck.... Not much luck with cracks / rust out in the center port areas.

clean it real good... then clean it again...grind a bevel on both parts.. clamp them together in alignment.. heat with a propane torch to 250 degrees in the area an inch around the weld.......... i use 7018 DC stick on everything..  One short pass, then chip with hammer to get the flux off and releave stress .... after 1 minute, do another short pass or buildup... dont weave the rod, just do short beads.

7018 will wreck the parts. Preheat, use a nickel rod. Or BETTER, braze it with a brass rod and torch. It’s much easier on the iron parts and will prevent carbon from

As Steve says, cast iron is tricky to weld under the best circumstances. After 70 years of heat-cycling, probably near impossible. There are new ones out there, that's the way I've gone. Both of my CA's where new manifolds.

Better off getting a good used one.  There should be millions of them out there.
