Looks like a 500. We had one that looked just like it on a170. Im not sure but i think they made some 400 series loaders that were similar

Same as the 500 loader (installed in 1970) on our 1962 D-17 gas. The only thing I noticed different is the lack of the front pump guard. There is also a grill guard option. I highly recommend the grill guard.

500, look for a tag, I think it'll be on the central frame of the loader...

In my opinion that is definetely NOT a 500 Series loader. It is the earlier 400 Series loader. For me it has 3 things that the later 500 Series does not have. A) the L/H frame is also the Oil Reservoir. Note the Fill Spout at the top. B) Note the 2 extended L/H Levers for Boom and Bucket control. C) Note the front mounted Hydraulic Pump, driven Live from the front Crankshaft Pulley. To my knowledge the 500 Series do not have any of these features. The 500 Series was meant for a D-17 Series IV that had Live Hydraulic. G |

I am with Gary that it is a 400 series, 415 to be exact. The telling point is the cross tube between the arms above the bucket on the boom. The 400 loaders had a rectangular cross tube, 3x5" something like that. Whereas the 500 loaders had a square cross tube, 5x5" or something like that. Also the 500 isn't designed to fit on a D14/15. Although I'm sure it will with modification. Also the 517 loader WAS offered with the reservoir tank in LH tower.

Any 400 series loader on a D-17 has the cross bar going across the top of the hoods (between the towers) so low you CANNOT remove the hoods without removing the bar or at least raising it up on one side. But, that loader is on a D-15 tractor so it has to be a 400 series.
