I am looking at a B cane for sale and was wondering if anyone on here could post a picture of there're B cane. Also how many were made? And what is one worth that has a older restoration? Thanks

I would say a nice actually restored unit could sell in the $4-6k for a fair market value range pending the quality of restoration

 The picture above is one type of a Cane B. Friend owns it. The one to the left is the other type of front end. The book calls out about 411 type B cane tractors if remembered correctly. for restored one's they have brought about $5000.00 to $6000.00 I have owned 5 of the one's like that front end thru the years. Still have one left.

Allis didn't make the canes, Thomson Manufacturing in Thibideax, LA bought tractors and modified them with their stuff to work in the cane fields.

The one I am looking at has a square tube front axle. In the picture Richard posted it looks like the front wheel and axle on the right of the picture. How many different styles did they make?

There were "CANE" tractors and there were "POTATO" tractors ( and probably more). Zack, the one you show above may be more of a POTATO as it does not have the larger rear wheels and raised front axle like most CANE units.

The tractor is the Thomson B Potato, The front has the bracing as would have bee the tractor to the right of my picture. They made 2 type of the cane B's both are picture in my post.

That B is different from the Allis made B Potato. I think Dale Haymaker called that a B high Crop. I really do not see that as a high crop just my opinion.

Many thanks to all for the info. i just drug in a 1938 model B which was converted to a high crop. It has the 38" rear tires, and the square front end, with the steel flat plate bracing

That is a Thomson B with the alternate centers. I've had a tractor identical to that. I have a pair of centers just like that. They used those on some when the others where used up. Notice they don't have the normal holes in them.
