I am in the process of replacing the seals on my 7020 pto. I drained the fluid removed the safety wire and pin loosened the big nut and went to pull the 1000 rpm shaft out and got it about 4 inches out and is now stuck and won't go in or out. There's a bearing on the inside of the shaft that's stuck up against the big nut. I have tried working the shaft in all directions and tried gently prying inbetween the bearing and big nut and it will not budge. I'm stumped

You need a BIG slide hammer attached to the outside end of the 1000 RPM shaft and slide hammer that bearing off.

I got the PTO seals done. I ended up using 3 7 inch 7/16 bolts going through the 1000 spline shaft and the PTO itself as a slide hammer. The stuck bearing came out with half a dozen light taps of the makeshift slide hammer. Thanks for the help
